Professor Hongbin Lu is a professor of Department of Macromolecular Science, Fudan University and  a doctoral supervisor. He received his beachlor degree in 1990 at Beijing Institute of Technology amd got his master degree of engineering in 1996 at the same university. In 1999, he recieved his doctor degree of macromolecular chemistry and physics in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. From 2000 to 2001, he engaged in postdoctoral career to do basic study of polymer engineering (supported by 973 project)  under the guidance of Professor Yuliang Yang at the Department of Macromolecular Science, Fudan University. And then he did one more postdoctoral research of polymer composites under the instruction of Professor Steven Nutt from 2001 to 2004 at University of Southern California. In July 2004, he joined Department of Macromolecular Science, Fudan University and started establishing his own research group. He has published nearly 50 papers on journals like Advanced Materials, Chemistry of Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Macromolecules, etc and 19 Chinese patents. Eight patents have been transfered and the left patents are under commercialization research. As the leader of the group, he took on 14 research projects containing 973 sub-projects, 863 sub-projects, NSFC program, key basic program of STCSM, key projects of General Armament Department and other industry collaboration project. Untill now, key breakthrough has been achieved for the synthesis and application of graphene and graphene-based composites. Our group reported a series of low cost, high yield and enviromental friendly massive production methods of graphene and graphene-based compounds for the first time and solved some key problems about the commercialization of graphene. Our research was reported by many mediae, e.g., Science and Technology Daily, China Scitechnology Business,Scientific Chinese, Management and Research on Scientific & Technological Achievements. Professor Lu was also honored the Person of the Year in 2014 by Management and Research on Scientific & Technological Achievements and in 2015 by Scientific Chinese. What's more, he is the council member of SSCCI, a committee member of China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry, a consultant in National Graphene Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the session chairman of conductive ink in International Graphene Innovation Conference and the invited experts of STCSM of graphene production. He was awarded the first prize of progress in science and technology by SINOPEC in 2003 and 2010 as a participant. And he was also honored the secnod prize of national science and technology advancement in 2004 as a participant.
